Loomis, Edwin H., farmer, Section 30 (Auburn township); PO Eden; born in Oneida Co., NY in 1834; came to this county in 1854, from Cook Co., Ill. , where he first settled with his father, Lorenzo Loomis, in 1845, and where he died in 1848; spent one year in this county and went to Minnesota and remained until 1857, when he returned to this county and purchased his present estate; has a farm of 118 acres, valued at $25 per acre; is one of the early settlers of this town and county.
