Velma Origer, 7, Dies Suddenly
Velma Origer, 7 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Origer, died Friday [April 25, 1930] morning from pneumonia. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 1 at the house. The Rev. Father Veit officiated at the services. Burial was at Oak Hill cemetery. Velma was born April 28, 1923, and would have celebrated her seventh birthday Monday. Because of poor health she was unable to attend school very regularly. She is survived by her parents, three brothers, Francis, Vernon and Ralph, and one sister, Florence. (Estherville News, Estherville, IA, May 1, 1930)Mr. and Mrs. M. J. Anchus and Mrs. Jean Hansen and daughter, Emma, left Tuesday for their home in Menononie, Wis. They were called here by the death of Velma Origer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Origer. Mr. and Mrs. Anchus were guests of Mr. and Mrs. F. M. Brockway.
