John J. Friesner, the son of Lester and Gertrude (Hunt) Friesner was born November 10, 1943, in Rockwell City, Iowa and departed this life on Friday, July 15, 2005, at his home in Estherville, Iowa, at the age of 61 years old.

He received his education in the Estherville schools.

On December 30, 1978, he was united in marriage to Diane (Zornig) Clark in Estherville. John was employed at Golden Sun Feeds for thirty-four years. Recently he was employed at Splash and Sparkle. For hobbies John enjoyed golfing, carpentry work, his dog, Wendy and spending time with his family.

John was a member of the First Christian Church and the Riverview Golf Course.

Left to cherish John's memory is his wife, Diane of Estherville; his children, Todd Friesner of Mason City, Iowa; Brenda Hanson and her husband, Jeff of Graettinger, Iowa; Dan Friesner and his wife, Stephanie of Sherburn, Minnesota; Ben Clark and his wife, Katie of Dallas, Texas; Katie Quiring and her husband, Chris of Spirit Lake; five grandchildren, Heather, Jeffery, Andrew, Cale and Jordan; sisters and brother, Marvel Anderson and her husband, Oliver of Estherville; Virgil Friesner and his wife, Anne of Estherville; Marlene Rayborn and her husband, Tom of Ankeny, Iowa; father-in-law, Marvin Zornig of Rock Rapids, Iowa; brother-in-law, Dennis Zornig and his wife, Sue of Clinton, Iowa; and sister-in-law, Elaine Anderson and her husband, Tom of Laurens, Iowa.

He has been preceded in death by his parents; brother, Willard and nephew Oliver, Jr. Anderson.
