Mrs. O.E. Walker Dead
At her home on the Dispanet farm south of the city, occurred on Sunday at five o’clock, the death of Mrs. Mary Walker, beloved wife of O.E. Walker and after only a few days illness. The funeral was held yesterday from the First Baptist church and the burial made in the Oak Hill cemetery. The family had resided here about eighteen months, moving to this county from near Spencer.

The suddenness of the summons and the very distressing circumstances surrounding it makes it very sad indeed, as she leaves six children, the eldest but twelve years, the youngest but a babe of a few days and a broken hearted husband. Mrs. Walker was a most excellent character, beloved by all who knew her, a true wife and devoted mother. To the stricken family sympathy deeply sincere is extended in this hour of sorrow.
