Cheryl V. Olson, a former resident of Minnesota, passed away on Sunday August 10, 2008 at her home in Centreville, Virginia. Cheryl was born August 1, 1932 in Estherville, Iowa, the daughter of the late Elmer and Ann (Christian) Bringle.

She graduated from Fairmont High School. She attended the Minneapolis School of Business and was employed by Continental Grain Company.

She was united in marriage to Lynn B. Olson on June 14, 1953 at Grace Lutheran Church in Fairmont, Minnesota. Cheryl's passion was her family, she was happy being a wife and mother of two, while also being a wonderful hostess and avid bridge player.

Devoted wife of the late Lynn B. Olson, loving mother of Steve (Shirley) Olson of Prior Lake, Minnesota and Christel (Kevin) McGovern of Centreville, Virginia. Beloved grandmother of Kerri, Kristopher, Greg and Ally. She will also be missed by many loving cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Dale Bringle.

Memorial services will be held on Friday August 15, 2008 at 11 AM at Crosslake Lutheran Church in Crosslake, Minnesota and on Saturday August 16, 2008 at 11 AM at Estherville Lutheran Church in Estherville. Inurnment to follow. (MC)
