Andrew Moe, 72, of Armstrong, a retired stock-buyer died Monday [March 27, 1933] at the R.J. Brown home here. Mr. Moe’s death was caused by cancer.Andrew Moe was born in Blanchardville, Wis., the son of Helge and Sarah Osmundsen Moe. A brief service will be held at the Mahlum and Anderson funeral chapel at 1:15 o’clock Thursday and at 2:00 o’clock funeral services will be held at the Norwegian Lutheran church at Armstrong. Burial will be made in the Armstrong cemetery.
Mrs. Moe and four children have preceded Mr. Moe in death. One son Samuel of Anaconda, Mont., six brothers and two sisters survive. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, March 28, 1933)
Armstrong - Funeral services for Andrew Moe, age 72, who died at Estherville Monday of cancer, were held Thursday afternoon in the Lutheran Church at Armstrong, Rev. R.W. Doyle in charge.
Burial was in the Armstrong Grove Cemetery. Mr. Moe was engaged in livestock buying for many years in Armstrong. He is survived by one son, Samuel Moe, of Anaconda, Mont.; two sisters, Mrs. Carrie Lein and Mrs. Anna Dronghton [Broughton], of Blanchardville, Wis.; and five brothers, Anton of Excelsior, Minn.; Gilbert of Lake Park; Henry of Bixby, S.D.; Otto of Minneapolis, Minn.; and Edward of Antigo, Wis.
