Armstrong – Services for Mrs. William (Lucille) Mitchell, 60, Armstrong, will be 10 a.m. Friday at the Free Methodist Church, Armstrong, with the Rev. Charles H. Fender Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Armstrong Grove Cemetery.

Mrs. Mitchell died Wednesday [September 27, 1978] morning at Holy Family Hospital, Estherville.

Friends may call at the Henry and Olson Funeral Home, Armstrong, until 9 a.m. Friday when the body will be taken to the church.

The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Ersham, she was born July 20, 1918, at LaCrosse, Wisc., received her education in Minneapolis, Minn., and was married to William Mitchell at Armstrong. She was a member of the Free Methodist Church, Armstrong.

Mrs. Mitchell is survived by her husband, William, Armstrong; one daughter, Mrs. Leonard (Rose) O’Dell, Richmond, Mo.; three sons, Edwin Mitchell, Blue Springs, Mo., Donald Mitchell and David Mitchell, both of Armstrong; six grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Rose Huse, Arnolds Park; and one brother, Robert Steinberger, Spirit Lake.

She was preceded in death by her parents, step father and one son. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, September 28, 1978)
