Maple Hill – Graveside services for Frank W. Mitchell, 72, Maple Hill, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Armstrong Grove Cemetery, Armstrong, with Pastor Don Sarff of the Nazareth Lutheran Church officiating. He died Sunday, Feb. 3, 1985 at Holy Family Hospital.

Henry and Olson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. There will be no visitation.

He was born Oct. 24, 1912 at Denton, Texas, the son of W. [William] J. [Jackson] and Rose (Wear) Mitchell. He lived in Texas and Arkansas and served in the armed forces during World War Two and continued in the armed services until 1952. He moved to Maple Hill to live with his mother and sister and has lived here the past 30 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Leona Eugenia Mitchell. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, February 5, 1985)
