Armstrong Woman Dies at 91
Armstrong – Mrs. Ida E. Mitchell Fitzgerald, 91, died yesterday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. H.A. Eckholm, in Armstrong. She had been in poor health for the last 10 years and cause of death was attributed to complications of advanced age.

Mrs. Fitzgerald, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Burgess; was born Oct. 20, 1871, at Kankawee, Ill., and she received her education there. She was married to John Mitchell on June 2, 1890, at Clifton, Kan. Mr. Mitchell died on Oct. 30, 1944, and she later was married to Mr. Fitzgerald.

Mrs. Fitzgerald is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Lillie Rainey, Ames, Mrs. Wilbert Markar and Mrs. Dan Conn, both of Sherburn, Minn., and Mrs. H.A. Eckholm, Armstrong, three sons, Howard of Leader, Minn., Loyde of Estherville, and William of Armstrong. She is also survived by 36 grandchildren and 47 great-grandchildren.

Family services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Slaba Funeral Home and public services will follow at 2 p.m. at the Free Methodist Church with the Rev. Jackson Stubler officiating. Burial will be in the Armstrong Grove Cemetery.
