John Mitchell Dies
John W. Mitchell, 83 of 307 S. 9th St., died Monday [October 30, 1944] afternoon at his home following a long illness. He is survived by his widow and several children. Mitchell Rites Today
Funeral services for John W. Mitchell of South ninth street were held this afternoon at 2:30 at the Baptist church with the Rev. G.E. Forssell officiating. Burial was in the Armstrong cemetery. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, November 1, 1944)
