Mr. and Mrs. Forest Teachout and family of Storm Lake came Sunday to the parental N.B. Wood home to spend a week. They all attended the funeral of an aunt, Mrs. Andrew Mitchell of Waterloo at Armstrong. (Algona Upper Des Moines, Algona, IA, June 4, 1946)

A newspaper account of the death in Estherville, Ia., of Mrs. Jennie Mitchell [Jennie Mae Carroll Mitchell], 77, Waterloo resident for the last 30 years, has been received by her acquaintances here. Mrs. Mitchell, widow of Andrew M. Mitchell, died June 4 in an Estherville hospital after a two weeks’ illness. She had made her home at 421 Fowler street in Waterloo and was a member of the First Presbyterian church and Becker chapter, Order of Eastern Star here. Two daughters, Mrs. George H. Beck, Armstrong, Ia., and Mrs. Andrew Rath, Cedar Falls, survive. (Waterloo Daily Courier, Waterloo, IA, June 12, 1946)
