Minnie Myrnetta Schulz was born in Iowa Co., Iowa, March 21, 1871, and died at her home near Dolliver, Iowa, August 20, 1903.
Her death was due to blood poisoning and her sufferings were intense. The deceased married John Miller, March 4, 1890 in Franklin county, Iowa . Five children were born to them, of whom three are living – one daughter and two sons. The family came to Emmet county in March, 1902, and bought the farm near Dolliver where they have since lived.
Mrs. Miller was not a communicant of any church. During her illness of but five days duration her mind was much concerned about the needs of her soul. She sought and obtained forgiveness of her sins and died in good assurance of eternal life. While her death was a bitter affliction it has been an occasion of spiritual benediction to her family. Relatives and neighbors ministered to every need with marked devotion evidencing high esteem for Mrs. Miller. The funeral was held from the home Aug. 22, bring conducted by Rev. R.A. Harwood of Dolliver. The interment was in the cemetery at Armstrong. Mrs. Miller’s parents – four brothers – husband and children survive her. Mr. and Mrs. E. Schultz of Andale, Minn., were called here on account of the death of Mrs. John Miller. Mr. Schultz is a brother of Mrs. Miller. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, September 2, 1903)
