Mrs. David Mast
Mrs. David Mast, one of the best known residents of Swan Lake township, died at her home near Maple Hill Sunday. She was a pioneer resident of the county and leaves a large circle of friends. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, November 1, 1905)

Mrs. David Mast Dead
Mrs. David Mast died at her home at Maple Hill October 29th of pneumonia coupled with paralysis of six years standing. The funeral was held from the Presbyterian Church at Maple Hill November 1st and the remains laid to test in the Armstrong cemetery a large concourse of friends attending. Rev. J.H. Hewitt preached the funeral sermon taking for his theme “Rest” Text Hebrews 1:9 and Revelations 14:13.

Mrs. Cathern [Catherine]Eichhorn was born April 23, 1848, and united with the Reform church when 17 years of age. Married David Mast in 1875. There was born to this union four children one son and three daughters. Her recent illness was pneumonia coupled with a partial paralysis of six years standing.
