Word was received here the past week of the sudden death [January 6, 1937] of Mrs. William Stuart [Jennie Ellen Dunn Stuart], the aged mother of Mrs. J.B. Knipe of Armstrong. Mrs. Stuart went there three weeks ago to spend the winter with relatives and died Wednesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ray Ives, in Pasadena, Calif. Death was due to a cerebral hemorrhage. Mrs. Stuart is being brought to Armstrong for burial. The funeral will probably be the first of the week. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, January 14, 1937)

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Methodist church for Mrs. William Stuart, the Rev. John Drake Wolcott conducting the services. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, January 15, 1937)
