Armstrong – Funeral services for Inez [Jo Ann]Lytle, 87, of Armstrong will be held on Thursday, Sept. 7, 2000 at the United Methodist Church in Armstrong at 2 p.m. Interment will be held at Armstrong Grove Cemetery in Armstrong. She died on Monday, Sept. 4, at the Fairmont Community Hospital in Fairmont, Minn.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. today at the Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Armstrong.

She was born on Aug. 16, 1913 in Dunnell, Minn., the daughter of Herman Otto and Lucia (Meyer) Ziemer. She attended school in Dunnell.

On April 21, 1934, she was united in marriage to Joe Lytle in Dunnell. The couple made their home in Armstrong until WWII when they moved to California to work in war manufacturing plants.

They moved back to Spirit lake after the war and lived there for eight years before returning to Armstrong. She worked at the Armour Plant in in Fairmont, Minn. for 23 years before her retirement.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Armstrong and the Rebekka Lodge and the KKK Club.

She is survived by one son, Joe and his wife, Sally of Columbus, Ohio; seven grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; one sister, Erma Smith of Estherville and two brothers, Elmer Ziemer and his wife, Flora of Cold Spring, Minn. and Marchollus Ziemer of Bloomington, Minn.

She was preceded in death by her husband; one son; two grandsons; one great grandson; two brothers; three sisters; parents and grandparents.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the United Methodist Church. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, September 6, 2000)
