Armstrong – Services for Mrs. Ira (Nona) Link, 86, will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. in the United Methodist Church with Rev. David Wagner officiating. Interment will be in Armstrong Grove Cemetery. She died Friday, March 22, 1985, at Fairmont Community Hospital, Fairmont, Minn.

Friends may call at the Henry and Olson Funeral Home in Armstrong after 3 p.m. Sunday.

Nona L. [Catherine] Lytle was born May 4, 1896 at Forest City, the daughter of George and Olive (Tipton) Lytle. She attended Armstrong School and Cedar Falls Teacher College and Columbian, N.Y. On April 12, 1915 she was united in marriage with Ira E. Link at Iowa Falls. She taught Elementary Education in area schools for many years. She joined her husband in an Implement and Automobile Business in Swea City and Thompson until his death and continued for several years after that. She returned to teaching until her retirement in 1962. She lived in Johnson City, Tenn. until 1974 when she returned to Armstrong. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Rebeccah Lodge of Armstrong.

Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Arnold (Georgia) Flier, Armstrong; two nephews: George (Bob) Peterson, Armstrong and Ron (Bill) Peterson, Onalaska, Wis.; one great nephew.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1951 and two sisters. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, March 23, 1985)
