Estherville – Services for Mrs. Selma (Quam) Lilland, 94, Estherville, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Estherville Lutheran Church with the Pastor Stan Eyberg officiating. Burial will be in the Eastside Cemetery. She died Saturday morning, June 9, 1984 at the Good Samaritan Center in Estherville where she had been a resident for the past 2 ½ years.

Friends may call at the Henry and Olson Funeral Home, Estherville, after 2 p.m. Monday.

She was born Dec. 19, 1889 at Stanhope to Tom and Sarah (Shjurson) Quam and attended rural Stanhope schools. On March 31, 1909 she married Ole Lilland at Stanhope. The couple farmed and moved in 1915 to the Armstrong area. They lived on several farms in Emmet County before moving to the Estherville area in 1928.

She was a member of the Estherville Lutheran Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Elvin (Sylvia) Sunde, Mrs. Elmer (Janice) Weir, both of Estherville, and Mrs. Ernie (Lorrene) Gellings, Milwaukee , Wis.; one son, Tenner Lilland, Estherville; one brother, Truman Quam, Boone; two sisters Mrs. Clara Anderson, Eagle Grove, and Mrs. Stella Henrickson, Stanhope; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1959, one son, one daughter and three brothers. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, June 11, 1984)
