Former Swea Eagle Woman Dies Suddenly
Swea-Eagle – Mrs. Bert Larson, 76, died at her home in Armstrong last week Monday [October 23, 1967] of a coronary thrombosis. Although she has had heart trouble for several years, she had recently been in good health.Amelia Sevold [Fevold] Larson was born Dec. 9, 1880, at Badger where she attended school and was married in March, 1899, to Bert Larson, of Pontiac, Ill. He died at Armstrong Feb. 7, 1951.
The Larsons and their family farmed in this community moving to Armstrong in 1948.
Surviving are four sons and a daughter, Jay, Seattle, Wash.; Arthur, Raymond and Millard, Armstrong, and Mrs. Lester Knudson, Randall, Ill. One son died at the age of 5. There are 15 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 7:30 p.m. at the Arthur Larson home and 2 p.m. at the Nazareth Lutheran church with the Rev. Harland Blockhus officiating. Burial was in Armstrong Grove cemetery. (Kossuth County Advance, Algona, IA, October 29, 1957)
