Armstrong – Services are pending at the Henry and Olson Funeral Home in Armstrong for Reuben Larsen, 84, Armstrong. He died Wednesday morning at the Valley View Nursing Home. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, September 20, 1984)

Ruben Larsen
Armstrong – Services for Ruben M. [Marten] Larsen, 84, were held Saturday [September 22, 1984] at the Nazareth Lutheran Church with Pastor Don Sarff officiating. Interment was in Armstrong Grove Cemetery. Henry and Olson Funeral Home, Armstrong, was in charge of arrangements.

He was born March 27, 1900 at Weston, Iowa, the son of Jens Peter Larsen and Karen Marie Christensen Larsen. He attended the rural Ringsted schools. On Feb. 11, 1925 he was united in marriage with Helma Wilberg at Seneca. He lived and farmed most of his life in the Armstrong-Ringsted area. He was a member of the Nazareth Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife Helma, Armstrong; one son Roger L. Larsen, Armstrong; one daughter Mrs. Dale (Marilyn) Daniels, Eagle Grove; eight grandchildren; one great-grandson; four sisters: Mrs. Nettie Flint, Graettinger; Mrs. Loretta Jensen, Neola; Mrs. Kenneth (Sadie) Merton, Bettendorf and Mrs. Norman (Dalmar) Larsen, Ringsted.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons; five brothers and four sisters. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, September 22, 1984)
