T.F. Laffey was badly paralyzed Sunday by being thrown from his buggy and is in serious condition. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, May 24, 1911)

Mr. T.F. Laffey died at his home east of town Friday, June 2nd. Mr. Laffey was thrown from his buggy and seriously hurt three weeks ago, and since then has been paralyzed. The entire community sympathize with the family in their sorrow. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, June 7, 1911)
