Clifford Laffey Dies at Fairmont Today
Clifford Laffey, 36, young farmer of the Dolliver community passed away early this morning at the Fairmont hospital where he had been taken Monday. This is the second death in the Laffey family within a month, a sister, Mrs. Baker passing away at Mason City in December.

Mr. Laffey had spent his entire life in the Dolliver community and is highly esteemed there and over the entire county. He is survived by a wife and three year old son, Thomas, two brothers, John of Armstrong, and Harold, three sisters, Gertrude, Fern and Esther, and his mother, Mrs. Sank Laffey, also of Dolliver. Services For Dolliver Man Slated Friday
Armstrong, Jan. 21 – Funeral services for Clifford Laffey of Dolliver, who died yesterday morning at the Fairmont Clinic hospital in Fairmont, Minn., will be held in the Methodist church in Armstrong at 2 o’clock Friday afternoon, which is the birthday of Mr. Laffey. He would have celebrated his 37th birthday tomorrow.

The Rev. L.M. Carver, pastor of the Methodist church in Dolliver, and the Rev. P.B. Mitchell, pastor of the Methodist church in Armstrong will officiate. Burial will be in Armstrong.

Mr. Laffey is survived by his wife and one son, Thomas, his mother, Mrs. Lizzie Laffey, two brothers, John of Armstrong and Harold, and three sisters, Gertrude, Fern and Esther, all of Dolliver. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, January 21, 1932)

Funeral services for Clifford Laffey of Dolliver, who died Wednesday morning at the Fairmont Clinic hospital in Fairmont, Minn., was held in the Methodist Church at Armstrong Friday afternoon, which would have been his 37th birthday. The Rev. L. Carver, pastor of the Methodist Church in Armstrong, officiated. Mrs. Gar Horswell and Mrs. A. Bosworth sang three hymns, Miss Esther Horsell accompanying at the piano. Burial was in the Armstrong Grove cemetery. Mr. Laffey is survived by his wife, one son, Thomas, his mother, Mrs. Lizzie Laffey; two brothers, John and Harold and three sisters, Gertrude, Fern and Esther, all of Dolliver.
