Armstrong Woman’s Rites Saturday
Armstrong – Mrs. Rose Kinnander, 70, died early Thursday morning, March 21, in her home in Armstrong from an apparent heart attack.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Nazareth Lutheran Church, Armstrong, with the Rev. Donahue Sarff officitiating. Burial will be in Armstrong Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at Reese-Henry Funeral Home, Armstrong.

Serving as pallbearers will be Don Schwartz, John Feddersen, Pete Grabinowski, Arden Sabin, Merlyn Askeland and Lawrence Reding.

She was born Dec. 18, 1903 at Humboldt to Carl and Mary Gram Nielsen and educated in Ringsted-Armstrong area. She was married to Clifford Laffey in 1929 and later married to Henry Kinnander on June 18, 1934 at Gary, Ind. After her marriage to Mr. Kinnander, they farmed north of Armstrong. He died in 1970. She was a member of the Nazareth Lutheran Church, Armstrong.

Survivors include two sons, Thomas and Harlan Kinnander, both of Armstrong; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild; one brother, Les Nielsen, Armstrong; and two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Petersen, Armstrong, and Mrs. Ray Henningsen, Estherville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, both husband and two sisters. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, March 22, 1974)
