H.A. Kingston, Aged 72, Dies
Pioneer Resident of Armstrong
H. [Herbert] A. [Alpkansan] Kingston, 72, pioneer Armstrong merchant, died yesterday afternoon at 3 p.m. There were a number of contributory diseases resulting in his death.

Mr. Kingston went to Armstrong 39 years ago, working first as a harness maker. A year later he purchased a general merchandise stock and remained in business until a year ago, when he sold his store to his son, John.

He is survived by his wife, a son, John, and two daughters, Mrs. Walter Mangold of Ringsted, and Mrs. W.A. Belau of Fairmont.

Mr. Kingston was born Oct. 1, 1860 at Cherry Valley, Minn.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. in the Presbyterian church in Armstrong. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, March 31, 1933)

Resident of Armstrong Dies Thursday
H.A. Kingston, 72, of Armstrong died at that place at 3:00 p.m. Thursday. A complication of diseases caused his death.

Mr. Kingston went to Armstrong 39 years ago and operated a general store there until a year ago when he sold his store to his son.

Surviving are his widow, a son, John, and two daughters, Mrs. Walter Mangold of Ringsted and Mrs. W.A. Belau of Fairmont.

Mr. Kingston was born Oct. 1, 1860 at Cherry Valley, Minn. Funeral services were held at two p.m. Saturday in the Presbyterian church in Armstrong. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, April 4, 1933)

Armstrong – Funeral services were held Saturday in the Presbyterian church for H.A. Kingston, pioneer merchant of Armstrong. He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Amy Mangold of Ringsted and Mrs. Ruth Ballon of Fairmont, Minn., and one son, John, of Armstrong. Mr. Kingston was an upwright, honest man and a leader in the community. His death is a distinct loss to the town. Sympathy is extended to the bereaved relatives.
