Services for Jim Clark 88 of Graettinger will be Thursday evening March 19th at 7:00 pm at Harvest Baptist Church in Fort Dodge. The family will be gathering at the church for a 5:30 supper. Visitation will be after the family supper and prior to services.
James (Jim) L. Clark, 88, went home to be with the Lord in his home, surrounded by family, on March 13,2015. He was born on June 19, 1926, in Toyonto, Kansas to W.P. and Mary Clark. He married Nova Bell in February 5, 1944.
He joined the United States Army in November 1944. He served in World War II and was honorably discharged on July 18, 1946.
They then made their home in Kalispell, MT where Jim drove truck and trained as a millwright. This work took the family to Sioux Falls, SD where Jim continued to drive truck and work as a millwright. The family moved to Estherville, IA in 1972 where Jim worked for Golden Sun Feeds as a millwright.
Nova Bell passed away in 1977. Jim then married Sharon Friesner May 16, 1978.
They made their home in Estherville, Emmetsburg, and now rural Graettinger. Jim retired from Golden Sun Feeds at 65 years old. He then drove truck until he retired at 86 years old.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, 4 brothers, his wife Nova Bell, son Richard, and 4 grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Sharon (Friesner) Clark. His children Mary Larsen of Kalispell, MT, James (Jim) Jr and wife Sue of Spirit Lake, lA, Terry and wife Corrilla of Hinckley, MN, William (Bill) and wife Joanie of Estherville, lA, John and wife Julie of Estherville, lA, David and wife Amy of Kalispell, MT. His Step-children Todd Friesner and friend Heather of Graettinger, lA, Brenda Hanson and friend Jim of Fort Dodge, lA, Daniel and Stephanie Friesner of Sparks, NV. His special daughter Hanna, and four adopted children. His 23 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. Also many nieces and nephews. (MC)
