Ann Kloss of Armstrong Dies; Rites Scheduled
Armstrong – Miss Antoinette (Ann) Geneva Kloss died at 12:55 p.m. Nov. 3 at Holy Family Hospital. She had been ill since Nov. 12.She was born in Kansas City, Kan., to Mr. and Mrs. Powel J. Kloss and received her education in the Armstrong schools. She moved to the county in May, 1919.
Miss Kloss was a member of the Red Cross and United Women Group and a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Armstrong. She was active in R.N.A. and was also a member of Helnea’s Circle.
Survivors include one sister, Miss Frances Kloss, Galesburg, Ill.; one brother, D. Thomas Kloss, Baltimore, Md.; one niece, Mrs. Sally Kloss Wargo, Heidelberg, Germany.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A rosary will be said Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at the Slaba-Reese Chapel in Armstrong. Funeral will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Armstrong, with the Rev. Jerome A. Degen officiating.
Burial will be in the Armstrong Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 7 p.m. Monday until 9 a.m. Wednesday at the Slaba-Reese Chapel in Armstrong. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, November 24, 1969)
