Obituary
Arthur Johnson, ill since February, died last Wednesday [October 22, 1941] at his home in Armstrong. Funeral services for him were Friday in the Presbyterian church and interment was in the Armstrong Grove cemetery in Armstrong. The Rev. R.R. Irwin of Armstrong conducted the services.

Mr. Johnson was born May 13, 1881, in Lynn, Ill., and was baptized in the Swedish Lutheran church of Gowrie, Iowa. He was married to Mary Enderson in 1929.

He was survived by his widow and their son, Arthur Johnson, Jr.; three children by a previous marriage, Virgil Johnson, of Farnhamville, Mrs. Elna Rockerfeller of Charles City and Mrs. Nelma Fisher of Minneapolis. A son by his first marriage died in infancy.

Present at the funeral were his mother, Mrs. Algut Johnson of Wall Lake; his brothers and their families, Sherman Johnson, Fred Johnson, Edwin Johnson, Walter Johnson and Henry Johnson, all of Farnhamville, and Russell Johnson of Lake View; and his two sisters, Mrs. Robert Olerich of Auburn and Mrs. John Mau of Wall Lake.
