Armstrong – Services for Mrs. Herbert (Ruth) Wolf, 88, Dawson, Minn., formerly of Armstrong, were held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Henry and Olson Funeral Home in Armstrong with the Rev. C. Kent Wever of the First Presbyterian Church of Armstrong officiating. Interment was in the Armstrong Grove Cemetery. She died Tuesday, Oct. 25, 1983 in the Johnson Memorial Hospital at Dawson.

Ruth Ammons was born May 2, 1895 at Parkston, S.D. and attended Brookings Normal School. She taught country school in North Dakota where she met and married Herbert Wolf. They lived most of their married life in Armstrong. She was a 50 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Lawrence (Ethel) Andersen, Weaversville, Calif. and Mrs. R.V. (Dorothy) Schoentrup, Mesa, Ariz.; one son, Wayne H. Wolf, Dawson, Minn.; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, October 31, 1983)
