Services Held for Ex-resident of Armstrong
Armstrong – Funeral services were held for Mrs. Alma Willson, 75, Fairmont, Friday morning at the Olson Funeral Home at Fairmont. She died Dec. 9 at the Fairmont Hospital of a heart ailment.The Rev. C.R. Nicholas officiated and the interment was in the Armstrong cemetery.
She was born April 15, 1894 near Seneca to Martin and Christine Skow. She was a member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church of Ringsted.
She was married to Charles Willson, March 18, 1914 at Armstrong. They lived in the Harris, Halfa, and Armstrong communities until they moved to Fairmont in 1937. Willson died July 10, 1963.
She is survived by four sons, Woodrow, Warrenton, Ore., Harold, Beamont, Tex., Lee, San Francisco, Calif., and Robert of Milwaukee, Wis.; 10 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Magnus and sisters, Mary, Emma and Minnie.
Pallbearers were great nephews, Kenneth Petersen, Donald Petersen, Robert Petersen, Jerald Petersen, Marvin Skow and John Hattle. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, December 17, 1969)
