Accident Has Fatal Result
Ole N. [Nielson] Quist, a Danish farmer who moved last spring from Audubon county to a farm he had purchased a mile west of Armstrong, died July 7. While plowing last spring a clevis broke and the horses pulled him over the plow and injured his back. The spinal cord was affected and he became partially paralyzed and was bedfast until death relieved his sufferings. He was unable to take nourishment and his death was due to starvation. The decedent was born near Kalding, Denmark, September 19, 1855, and came to America twenty-six years ago, settling at Clinton where he remained until four years ago when he purchased a farm in Audubon county where he resided until last spring. He is survived by his wife and five children. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, July 18, 1906)
