Armstrong – Services for Harris [William] Wadsworth, 88, or Armstrong will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Armstrong with Reverend Ron Pulscher officiating. Burial will be held at the Armstrong Grove Cemetery in Armstrong. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday, December 5 at the Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Armstrong. There will be a prayer service at 7 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home. He died December 2 at the Good Shepard Nursing Home in Sauk Rapids, Minn.He was born on April 27, 1905 in Lone Rock, the son of James and Lillian (Harris) Wadsworth. He grew up in the Lone Rock area where he attended the Lone Rock schools and graduated from Burt High School in 1924. After his marriage to Zella Madden on December 8, 1935 in Burt, the couple lived and farmed in the Armstrong area for 50 years. After his retirement, the couple moved into Armstrong. He has been a resident of Good Sauk [Shepard] Nursing Home since January of 1993.
He was a member of the Free Methodist Church in Armstrong and did volunteer work at Valley Vue Care Center in Armstrong.
Survivors include his wife, Zela Wadsworth; two daughters: Marlene Furguson, Armstrong, and Avis Skaalerud, Sauk Rapids, Minn.; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, December 4, 1993)
