Stroke Fatal to Mrs. Yackle of Armstrong
Stricken While Driving Car Tuesday Evening
Mrs. W.A. Yackle, 46, of Armstrong died yesterday afternoon in the Coleman hospital after having suffered a stroke Tuesday evening while driving a car near Armstrong.

Mrs. Yackle was taken to the hospital Tuesday evening.

She is survived by her husband and several children.

Funeral services are tentatively planned for Sunday afternoon at Armstrong. A son in California has been notified and relatives await word from him. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, September 16, 1943)

Mr. and Mrs. Lester Zielstra and Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Rouse attended the funeral of Mrs. Yackle, 42, of Armstrong Tuesday. Mrs. Yackle was a cousin of Lyle and Mr. Zielstra and died following a stroke, suffered when driving, the family car. (Terril Record, Terril, IA, September 23, 1943)

Mr. and Mrs. G.F. Shaver were at Armstrong the first of the week attending the funeral of Mrs. Wm. Yackle, 47, who died quite suddenly following a stroke of paralysis. The Yackle and Shaver families were neighbors some years ago. (Graettinger Times, Graettinger, IA, September 30, 1943)

Mr. and Mrs. Merle Culbertson and family attended funeral services at Armstrong last week for Mr. Culbertson’s sister, Mrs. Yackle, who passed away quite suddenly after a very short illness. (Algona Uper Des Moines, Algona, IA, September 30, 1943)
