Monroe Zufall Succumbs to Heart Attack

Monroe Zufall, 70, 208 South 10th street, died of a heart attack at 1:45 a.m. Wednesday morning. Mr. Zufall was an employee at the Tobin Packing Co. for 10 years and of the Morrell Packing Co. since their purchase of the company last fall. He moved to Estherville in 1953 and before that commuted from Armstrong.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Carrie [Taylor] Zufall whom he married Oct. 20, 1920 at Armstrong, and by an adopted son, Lewis Stroby. Other survivors include four sisters, Mrs. Curt Swift and Mrs. Thomas Fremrite, both of Blue Earth, Minn., Nellie Mitchell, Litchfield, Minn., and Violet Weatherly, Kasson, Minn.

Pall bearers will be Joseph Sifrit, Herbert Fransen, Joseph Amdfal, William Stick, Rollie Steele, and Glenn Maddux, all of Estherville.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. at the First Methodist church in Armstrong. The Rev. Lewis Larson of Estherville Free Methodist will officiate. Burial will be in the Armstrong cemetery. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, March 17, 1955)
