Death of Brother of Mrs. MacDonald at Armstrong
Mr. Harry Gregg of Pontiac, Mich., who has been ill at the home of his sister Mrs. H.N. Macdonald of Armstrong for the past six months, passed away on Monday afternoon at four o’clock. The funeral services will be held on Wednesday afternoon at four o’clock at Armstrong by Rev. P.H. Green of this city and the body laid to rest at the Armstrong cemetery.Mr. Gregg’s brother Willett had been with him during his last illness and was with him at the last. The brother and the sister, Mrs. MacDonald are the only relatives left to mourn his death, his wife having preceded him to the great beyond a number of years ago. He had no children. Mr. Gregg was at the time of his death sixty-four years of age, a veteran editor of a newspaper in his home town. He had been a great sufferer and death came as a relief but he is none the less sincerely mourned by his relatives and the friends ha has made in his life of public service. In Loving Memory
Harry Gregg, son of Edwin R. and Jane Gregg, was born in West Liberty, Iowa, April 28, 1858, and died at the home of his sister, Mrs. H.N. Macdonald, August 14, 1922. He grew to manhood in the place of his birth becoming identified in the newspaper field as a printer in the employ of the West Liberty Enterprise going from there to New Orleans, Louisiana, Detroit, Michigan, Flint Michigan and at the time of his death was employed as Telegraph Editor on the Pontiac Daily Press at Pontiac, Michigan.He was married in 1889 to Arloa [Jarvis] Murray at Detroit Michigan, she preceding him in death in 1897.
His immediate surviving relatives are his sister, Mrs. H.N. Macdonald of Armstrong, Iowa, and his brother, William Gregg of Washington, D.C.
The following telegram was received by his sister August 15, 1922.

The management and fellow workers of the Daily Press express our deepest sorrow at the death of one of our associates whose life has surely been an inspiration to all with whom he came in contact.
(Signed) The Pontiac Daily Press and EmployeesFuneral services were held from the home of his sister in Armstrong, Iowa, Wednesday afternoon Aug. 16, 1922 at 4 p.m. conducted by P.H. Green pastor church of Christ, Estherville, Ia. A large number of friends and neighbors were present in sympathy with the bereaved. Old and familiar hymns were sung by a duet as follows: Miss Florence Olson and Mrs. Inez Erickson. The pall-bearers were as follows: E.W. Van Dorsten, C.A. Robinson, J.V. Law, J.V. Burkhead, F.F. Frost, F.S. Robinson. The floral offerings were very beautiful.
Interment was made in Armstrong Cemetery. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, August 23, 1922)
