Armstrong – Services for Harry E. Gram, 82, of Armstrong, will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Nazareth Lutheran Church with Pastor Paul Rothfusz officiating. Interment will be in Armstrong Grove Cemetery. He died Tuesday, July 13, 1993 at Holy Family Hospital.Friends may call at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Armstrong from 4-7 Thursday.
He was born Aug. 28, 1910 at Humboldt, the son of John and Emma (Torkelson) Gram and moved to the Halfa area where he attended school. On Feb. 11, 1932 he was united in marriage with Vera Thompson at Estherville. He lived and farmed in the Halfa, Armstrong and Ringsted areas most of his life. The couple moved into Armstrong in 1975 and he retired from farming in 1982. He was a member of the Nazareth Lutheran Church in Armstrong.
Survivors include his wife, Vera of Armstrong; daughter, Mrs. Donald (Phyllis) Johnson of Swea City; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Anna Stoner, Laurens, and a brother, Ray Gram of Armstrong.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, July 15, 1993)
