Armstrong – Services for Mrs. Lloyd (Ardys) Godfredsen, 62, Armstrong, will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Nazareth Lutheran Church, Armstrong, with Pastor Don Sarff officiating. Interment will be at Armstrong Grove Cemetery. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Monday at the Henry and Olson Funeral Home in Armstrong. She died Saturday evening, April 21, 1984 at the Fairmont Community Hospital.

She was born Feb. 4, 1922 in Swea City the daughter of Swen Tjensvold and Nellie (Hill) Tjensvold. She received her education in Grant Township in Kossuth county and graduated from high school in 1939. On Sept. 17, 1942 she married Lloyd Godfredsen in Blue Earth. She lived all her life in the Swea City and Armstrong area. The couple lived for 41 years in Armstrong where she was employed by the Armstrong School System. She was a member of Nazareth Lutheran Church, Armstrong. Survivors include her husband, Lloyd Godfredsen, Armstrong; one son, Walter Godfredsen, Winnebago, Minn.; four grandsons; four granddaughters; one sister, Mildred Tjensvold, Armstrong.
