Armstrong – Services for Lloyd Godfredsen, 78, of Armstrong, will be held Monday, at 10:30 a.m. at the Nazareth Lutheran Church with Pastor Paul Rothfusz officiating. Interment will be in Armstrong Grove Cemetery. He died Tuesday, August 25, 1994 at Valley Vue Care Center at Armstrong.

He was born July 26, 1916 at Bancroft, the son of Peter and Edna (Woltz) Godfredsen. He attended Bancroft Public schools. On Sept. 1, 1942 he married Ardys Tjensvold at Blue Earth, Minn. After marriage the couple farmed until 1965 when he was employed by Arts-Way Mfg. retiring from there in 1981.

Survivors include: sons: Bob of Sibley, Jim of Armstrong and Walt of Winnebago; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Lillian Porter of Spencer; sister-in-law, Mildred Tjensvold of Armstrong. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, August 27, 1994)
