Tracy Allen, 41, an Estherville city employee, died of Hodgkin’s disease at 1:54 p.m. yesterday [Feb. 1, 1967] at Holy Family Hospital in Estherville.

He had been in ill health for seven years and was admitted to the hospital five weeks ago.

Mr. Allen was born Jan. 17, 1926, at Petersburg, Minn., to Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Allen and was educated in Petersburg and Jackson, Minn. He was married in 1947 to Ruth Thompson. He was remarried Oct 25, 1955, to Arlene Koenecke Roehler at Sioux Falls, S.D.

Mr. Allen farmed with his brother in the Petersburg area and later worked for a produce company in Fairmont, Minn. For the past 11 years he had been employed by the city of Estherville. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Estherville.

Mr. Allen is survived by his wife of Estherville; three daughters, Diana and Rebecca, both of Tacoma, Wash., and Susan at home; a stepdaughter, Twyla at home; four brothers, Raymond and Laverne of Petersburg, Arlo of Anderson, Ind., and Harold of Alpha, Minn.; three sisters, Mrs. James Holmes of Denver, Colo., Mrs. Robert Grathwol of Fairmont, and Mrs. David Hempsted of St. James, Minn.; and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Allen of Petersburg.

Family services will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church at 1:30 p.m. Saturday and public services will be conducted at 2 p.m. by Rev. W. H. Discher.

Friends may call at the Reese-Henry Funeral Home from 9 a.m. Friday to noon Saturday and at the church from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be in East Side Cemetery. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, February 2, 1967)
