Dies At Armstrong
Mrs. Leo Guerdet spent the past week at the last illness of her mother, Mrs. John Flier [Eda Marie Loewenberg Flier] of Armstrong, who passed away at her home Monday, Jan. 3, [per cemetery records, Jan. 2, 1949] after a lingering illness. With her family she moved to Emmet county in 1894.

Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at First Presbyterian church, Armstrong, Rev. Russell Nelson in charge. Interment was at Armstrong Grove cemetery. (Algona Upper Des Moines, Algona, IA, January 13, 1949)
