Armstrong – Services for Georgia L. Flier, 86, of Armstrong, will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Armstrong with the Rev. Marshall Monthei officiating. Interment will be in Armstrong Grove Cemetery. She died Tuesday, June 8, 1993 at Fairmont Community Hospital, Fairmont, Minn.

Friends may call at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Armstrong from 4-8 p.m. Thursday.

She was born Oct. 4, 1906 at Armstrong, the daughter of George and Olive (Tipton) Lytle and attended Armstrong School where she graduated from high school in 1926. On Sept. 24, 1933 she was united in marriage with Arnold Flier at Armstrong. The couple farmed southeast of Armstrong. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Armstrong, Eastern Star and the Rebekahs.

Survivors include her husband, Arnold of Armstrong; nephews: George Petersen, Armstrong and Ronald Petersen, LaCrosse, Wis., grand-nephew, James Gibbon, Los Angeles.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters and one nephew. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, June 10, 1993)
