Death Takes Mrs. Amelia Ersland, 82
Mrs. Amelia Caroline Ersland, 82, died about 7:35 p.m. Wednesday [August 23, 1967] at Holy Family Hospital. She had been a resident of the Good Samaritan Home for several years.

She was born March 1, 1885, in Story County to Mr. and Mrs. Hans Stenberg* [Christian O. Lilleberg]. She was married in 1903 to Knute Ersland in Story County. Shortly after their marriage they moved to Armstrong where Mr. Ersland operated a hardware and implement business.

They moved to Estherville when he was elected county treasurer.

She was a member of Estherville Lutheran Church.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Reese-Henry Funeral Chapel, Rev. Roy Hendrickson officiating. Burial will be in Armstrong Grove Cemetery, Armstrong.

Survivors are three children: Gladys (Mrs. J.N.) Holcomb, Urbana, Ill.; Harriet (Mrs. Donald) Tostenson, Downey, Calif.; and Robert of Whittier, Calif. Also 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and one daughter, Marcella (Mrs. O.H.) Miller, Estherville.
