Mrs. Eckholm Rites Thursday
Mrs. Helen Anna Eckholm, 93, a former Swea City resident, died 4:40 p.m. Monday, Dec. 6, 1971, at Holy Family Hospital from cancer.

She was born Sept. 13, 1878 at Forest City to Mr. and Mrs. Olson Harris. She received her education in Winnebago County schools.

She was married to Louis Eckhom Feb. 1, 1899, at Seneca. They farmed in Kossuth County and retired to Swea City. When the Valley Vue Nursing home opened she was the first resident there. She was a member of the Open Bible Church of Swea City.

She is survived by one son, Valdon Eckholm, Armstrong, and one daughter, Mrs. Vida Burgess, Armstrong; sixteen grandchildren, 61 great grandchildren and 24 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at the Open Bible Church in Swea City. Burial will be Harrison Township Cemetery.
