Mrs. E. Daries Dies At Ware
Burial at Armstrong, Former Home, Thursday
Funeral service for Mrs. E.J. Daries, 38, who died at Ware on Sunday [October 14, 1934] morning will be held at that place. Burial will be made at Armstrong. The deceased woman formerly lived in Armstrong. She is the daughter of Mrs. E.W. Chapman now of Glendale, Calif. Her father was killed two years ago in an auto accident.

Surviving are her husband, the mother, a daughter, Francis and son, Marion, three brothers Clair of Glendale, Verlie of Chicago, and Leslie of Estherville.

Mrs. Daries’ death was caused by heart disease. (Vindicator and Republican Estherville, IA, October 16, 1934)

Popular Woman Victim of Heart Trouble After Illness of 3 Months
On Sunday morning, Oct. 14, Mrs. E.J. Daries of Ware, passed away at her home after being seriously ill with heart trouble for the past three months. Funeral services were held at the Methodist church in Ware with the Rev. C.L. Day officiating. Burial was made at Armstrong, Ia.

The pallbearers were: Martin Larson, D.A. Mitchell, John Vader, Clarence DeYoung, H.A. Lee and Lester Allen.

Cecil Marguerite Chapman was born at Primghar, Iowa, July 28, 1896 and at the time of her death was 38 years, 2 months and 17 days of age. When she was 7 she moved with her parents to St. Paul, Minn., and three years later moved to Somers, Iowa, where she lived for 9 years. In 1915 she moved to Armstrong, Ia., where she met and married E.J. Daries. To this union two children were born, Marion 17 and Frances 16. Those left to mourn besides the immediate family are: her mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Chapman, Glendale, Calif., three brothers, Clair of Glendale, Calif., Lester, Estherville; Verle, Chicago. Her father preceded her in death two years ago.

Mrs. Daries had a wide circle of intimate friends, who knew her as a wonderful wife, mother and home keeper. Her body will lie in its final rest in the cemetery near the first family home in Armstrong. (Pocahontas Record, Pocahontas, IA, October 18, 1934)

Mrs. Edward Daries was brought here from Ware for burial Tuesday. Mr. Daries is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Daries of this place. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, October 24, 1934)
