DOLLIVER, Iowa - Funeral services for Edna Danielson, 88, of Dolliver and Armstrong, will be held 1:30 p.m. Monday, May 13, 2013, at Nazareth Lutheran Church, Armstrong, with Pastor Vance Toivonen, officiating. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Sunday at Henry-Olson Funeral Chapel in Armstrong. Interment will be in Armstrong Grove Cemetery, Armstrong.
She died Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at Valley Vue Care Center in Armstrong.
Edna M. [Mae] (Stamp) Danielson, the daughter of Henry and Hannah Stamp was born June 21, 1924, in Carroll.
She received her education in Carroll and Estherville.
On Jan. 21, 1942, Edna was united in marriage to Malvin Danielson. The couple spent their entire married life on the farm near Dolliver. Edna was the farm wife who helped Malvin and enjoyed the outdoors. Reading was her passion, along with spending time with the family.
She was a lifetime member of the Nazareth Lutheran Church in Armstrong. She was active in the Nazareth Lutheran Church Women's group and served in all of the offices of the NLCW.
Edna is survived by two daughters, Marilyn Mae Berg of Thornton, a suburb of Denver, Colo., and Melva Jane Ahrens and her husband, Duane of Little Canada, a suburb of St. Paul, Minn.; four granddaughters; three great-granddaughters; and many nieces and nephews.
Edna was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother; two sisters; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, May 9, 2013)
