Armstrong – Services for Nettie Felkey, 88, will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Harold Stepanek officiating. Interment will be in the Armstrong Grove Cemetery. She died Wednesday, November 20, 1985 at Fairmont Community Hospital.

Henry and Olson Funeral Home of Armstrong is in charge of arrangements.

She was born Oct. 22, 1897 at Algona, the daughter of Philip and Alice (Morgan) Waltman. She married W.L. Dale. On March 11, 1931 she was united in marriage with Roy Felkey at Mankato, Minn. She lived in Armstrong since 1931 where they couple farmed northwest of Armstrong. They owned and operated a Variety Store for several years. She continued to live in Armstrong after her husband’s death. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, American Legion Auxiliary, Stitch and Chat Club, Rebekah Lodge No. 435, Armstrong.

Survivors include one son George Dale, Armstrong; one step-daughter Mrs. Geraldine Marshall, Osage City, Kansas; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson.

She was preceded in death by both husbands, two sons; one step-daughter; three brothers and five sisters. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, November 23, 1985)
