Armstrong – Funeral services for Ralph M. [Martin] Cummins, 72, Armstrong, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the United Methodist Church, Armstrong, with the Rev. Travis Cannaday officiating and burial at the Armstrong Grove Cemetery. He died Monday [September 8, 1975] morning at the Fairmont Community Hospital.

M. Cummins was born Sept. 11, 1902 at Ottawa, Ill., to Walter and Emma Benton Cummins. He moved to Iowa Lake Township in Emmet County at the age of seven and was educated in Emmet County schools. He was married to Laura Klein July 14, 1926 at Estherville. They farmed near Armstrong and in 1945 moved into Armstrong where he was employed with Emmet County as a truck driver. He retired in 1968 and was a member of the United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Laura; one son, Dale, Armstrong; one daughter, Mrs. Dennis (Donna) Dreesman, Titonka; one grandson; one brother, V.D. Cummins, Fairmont, Minn. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and two brothers.
