Rites Will Be Monday for Mrs. Cummins
Ringsted – Funeral services for Mrs. Rufus (Cornelia [Palmer]) Cummins, 59, who died at the Good Samaritan Home in Estherville early yesterday have tentatively been set for 2 p.m. Monday at the Thomas Funeral Home in Ringsted.She was born April 10, 1904 at Armstrong and received her education there.
On Dec. 22, 1922, she was married to Rufus Cummins at Armstrong. They farmed in the Armstrong and Dolliver area and later Mr. Cummins, prior to his death two years ago, was an Emmet county employee.
Surviving is a daughter, Mrs. Ernest Miller, Belmond and five sons, Darrell, Ringsted, Eldon, Graettinger, Byrl, Fairmont, Virgil, Swea City and Dwayne of Hartington, Nebr., and 23 grandchildren. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, July 27, 1963)
