After her husband’s death, Mrs. Laatz moved back to Armstrong where she lived with her daughter, Mrs. Earl Cronk, of rural Armstrong for six years. She then moved to Armstrong where she resided until she became a resident of Balmer’s Rest Home.

Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Earl (Lena) Cronk and one son, Ray, both of Armstrong, four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband.

Funeral services will be held at the Methodist Church in Armstrong with the Rev. R.D. Tappmeyer officiating. Burial will be in Armstrong Grove Cemetery. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, November 6, 1957)
