Ringsted – Burton Albert Cronk, 66, Ringsted, died Thursday [July 13, 1978] morning at the Fairmont Community Hospital.

Services for Mr. Cronk will be 10 a.m. at the Presbyterian Church, Ringsted, with the Rev. Donald Johnson officiating. Interment will be in Armstrong Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Henry and Olson Funeral Home, Ringsted, after 11 a.m. Sunday until 9 a.m. Monday, when the body will be taken to the church.

Mr. Cronk was born July 14, 1911, at Armstrong, the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Cronk. Attended Armstrong schools and graduated in 1930. He was married to Mildred Krough on Nov. 20, 1931, at Sioux Falls, S.D. He was the custodian of the Ringsted Community Schools for the past 25 years.

He was a member of the Presbyterian Church.

Mr. Cronk is survived by his wife, Mildred, Ringsted; one son, William Cronk, Fairmont; three daughters, Mrs. Richard (Marilyn) Anderson, Fairmont, Mrs. Steve (Linda) Craig, Fairmont, and Mrs. Eldon (Roberta) Soper, Big Spring, Neb.; 12 grandchildren; step-mother, Mrs. Ruth Cronk, Armstrong; and two brothers, Ralph Cronk, Armstrong and George Cronk, address unknown.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, July 14, 1978)
