Armstrong Woman’s Services Held Today
Armstrong – Funeral services for Mrs. Nellie Marie Craig, 67, Armstrong, were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the United Methodist Church, Armstrong, with the Rev. Travis Cannaday officiating and burial in the Armstrong Grove Cemetery. She passed away Friday [November 29, 1974] morning. [per MN Death Index: Martin county, MN]Mrs. Craig was born Aug. 24, 1907 at Osceola to Fred and Rachel Isenberger Work and came to the Swea City area where she received her education.
She was married to Ralph Craig Jan. 12, 1929 in Fairmont and they farmed in Kossuth and Emmet Coutnies. After Mr. Craig died in 1967 Mrs. Craig made her home in Armstrong.
She is survived by three sons, Lowell, Swea City; Loren, Armstrong; and Lyman, Ceylon, Minn.; four daughters, Lila Craig, Mrs. Allen (Loretta) Quinn, Mrs. John (LaDean) Cheever and Mrs. Sylvester (Linda) Eisenbacher, all of Armstrong; 20 grandchildren; one brother, Lou Work, Newton; three sisters, Mrs. Bessie Koons, Fairmont, Minn.; Mrs. Lida Saxton, Dodge City, Minn,; and Mrs. Rex Funderberk, McClean, Tex.
Mrs. Craig was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers and one sister.
