Mrs. Colston, Armstrong, Dies Today
Mrs. Craig (Marjorie [Pearl]) Colston, 47, Armstrong, died at 1 a.m. Friday, Jan. 28, 1972, at her home in Armstrong from a heart attack.She was born April 18, 1925, at Monroe to Mr. and Mrs. Frank [Louise Pulver] Green and received her education in Prairie City schools and graduated from high school in 1943.
On Aug. 1, 1943, she was married to Craig Colston at Prairie City. They lived in Des Moines for three years while her husband attended college. They lived in Estherville for seven years and for the past 15 years operated the Colston Pharmacy at Armstrong.
She was a member of the Presbyterian Church at Armstrong.
Survivors include her husband, Craig, Armstrong; one son, Garold Lee Colson of Black Stone, Va.; one daughter, Mrs. Michael (Katherine) DeVoss, Armstrong; one granddaughter, Cynthia Lyn Colston, Black Stone, Va.; two brothers, Melvin and John Green of Prairie City; one sister, Mrs. O.H. Mendenhall, Springfield, Va., and her father, Frank Green, Prairie City.
She was preceded in death by her mother and one brother.
Tentative funeral arrangements are set for 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 31, at the Presbyterian Church in Armstrong with the Rev. Leslie Lewis officiating. Burial will be in Armstrong Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Reese-Henry Funeral Home, Armstrong, from noon Saturday until noon Monday. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, January 28, 1972)
